On Day 1, the organizers voided 3 long-distant controls (controls 20, 21, and 22) due to significantly changing conditions with visibility, resulting in extreme weather deterioration.
On Day 2, the organizer eliminated 1 control and received 2 complaints.
Control 2 was voided before the start of the competition, because the weight of the snow and ice made the dense shrubs bend and completely obscure the flag in the field, and the viewing point could not be moved to a better location.
The first complaint called for the void of control 7, as different features gave different answers and, in the opinion of the competitor, was unsolvable. The organizer checked the situation on the ground and rejected the complaint. The competitor then did not protest.
The second complaint called for the void of control 17, as it was not visible. This was also checked by the organizer in the terrain and he found that the flag in zero position was tilted slightly and was less visible from the decision site, but still visible. Therefore, the organizer rejected the complaint. The competitor did not agree with the explanation and therefore protested that because of the invisible flag, competitors have to guess. Jury of the competition found on the terrain that the lighting conditions were more difficult for some competitors, but they were convinced that the visibility of the flag was more than 50% for all competitors. Therefore, they rejected the protest.
